Sports Injury Physiotherapy
Dr Anne O’Malley holds a Master’s degree in Sports Injury as well as a BSc in Physiotherapy. Through her academic work at the University of Limerick, she has undertaken much research in the field of sports injury which has been published and presented at international conferences.
She has worked with hurling, football and rugby sports teams, both pitch side and in rehabilitation post-injury in Ireland and UK during her career. She gained a wealth of sports rehabilitation experience with amateur and professional players and elite athletes during a 4-year period as a senior physiotherapist in a Centre of Excellence for ACL and lower limb rehabilitation in Nottingham, and Loughborough University, UK.
A full comprehensive history and examination will be undertaken on your first visit. Anne provides an assessment of running technique, footwear as well as soft tissue injury.
